Keeping in view the closure of roads and the deployment of large police contingents to thwart Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) today’s protest demonstration at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, the party also has ‘Plan B’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Sources told 24News TV channel that in the event of the party leaders and workers’ failure to reach Rawalpindi, they would hold demonstrations at the spots where they would be stopped by the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs).
The party’s high command had directed the protestors to use motorcycles, they informed.
Sources disclosed that the workers had also been directed to reach the points as told by their respective Union Council heads in case cellphone signals were jammed.
They explained that today’s demonstration would be led by the party MPAs, and not MNAs.
Similarly, sources said, the PTI leadership had also directed that the sites selected for demonstrations should be kept secret.
