US INL delegation calls on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

A delegation of the US Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
US Deputy Ambassador Natalie Baker, INL Country Director Lyn Nelson, Police Advisor Ed Preston and Police Program Specialist Faisal Gill represented the US delegation.
In the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said that INL is providing extraordinary support in increasing the capacity of police and paramilitary forces and many important projects are being worked in this regard which is commendable.
Mohsin Naqvi said that we want this cooperation to be taken further and built on a sustainable basis, focusing first on the most important projects through the master plan.
The Interior Minister said that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is the most important investigative agency of Pakistan and we want FIA to be made a dynamic agency on the lines of FBI with the support of INL.
Mohsin Naqvi said reorganization of National Police Academy is very necessary and FC is playing the role of reserve police in Pakistan,
It is the need of the hour to build this force on modern basis, Mohsin Naqvi said.
He said that all possible measures are being taken in the field of anti-narcotics.
The American delegation expressed regret over the loss of human lives in the recent incidents of terrorism.
US Deputy Ambassador said that INL has been working closely with Pakistan for 42 years and we want to make this cooperation stronger and more sustainable.
