The latest official figures released on Wednesday showed that 3,425 patients had fully recovered from the coronavirus while the total number of cases reached 14,885 after the addition of 806 new ones during the past 24 hours.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre, Punjab continues to top the list with 5,827 cases followed by Sindh 5,291, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2,160, Balochistan 915, Gilgit-Baltistan 330, Islamabad 297 and Azad Kashmir 65.
A total of 3,687 patients are currently admitted at 717 hospitals across the country, as 129 of them are in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, another 26 people lost their lives because of the virus after which the death toll climbed to 327.
Fortunately, Azad Kashmir continues to avoid any death as it is only administrative region where no life has been lost due to the virus.
Details of these deaths are: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 114, Punjab 100, Sindh 92, Balochistan 14, Islamabad four and Gilgit-Baltistan three.
On the other hand, the number of people tested for the coronavirus reached 165,911 as 8,530 more tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, says the official website.
As far as the active cases are concerned, the number currently stands at 11,133 with Punjab at the top with 4,300 under treatment patients.
The details of other administrative units are: Sindh 4,236, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,484, Balochistan 725, Islamabad 257, Gilgit-Baltistan 103 and Azad Kashmir 28.
If we have a look at the details of recoveries, 1,427 people recovered in Punjab, 963 in Sindh, 562 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 224 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 176 in Balochistan, 37 in Azad Kashmir and 36 in Islamabad.
