Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former national assembly speaker has demanded the government constitute a judicial commission to probe May 9 events, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking at the National Assembly session on Tuesday, he said May 9 is a deep conspiracy against PTI and planned propaganda is being done against us.

In the Feb 8 elections, the general masses challenged the government's narrative by giving majority votes to PTI.

He demanded that a judicial commission be formed on May 9 and action should be taken against whoever is responsible for the incident.

Asad Qaiser questioned the government why they are not being allowed to hold rallies.  “This assembly will not work if this attitude is kept with us.”

He said that the people sitting on the government benches from Karachi are rejected.

“Asif Zardari makes many speeches but he is afraid of our rally.”

He said that peaceful protest is our constitutional and legal right from which no one can stop us.

He vowed that they would hold rallies in Lahore and Karachi and nobody could deprive them of their democratic right. Asad Qaiser questioned the legal basis for imposing restrictions on PTI for holding public meetings.

Taking a jibe at the government, he said there are three Prime Ministers in Islamabad at present, one is Shahbaz Sharif, the other is Ishaq Dar and the third is Mohsin Naqvi.

He said that the farmers of Punjab are worried at this time, and we will also join their protest.

“The government is ruining the economy of the farmers by not buying their wheat.”

Former national assembly speaker Asad Qaiser demanded that a judicial commission be formed to inquire into the events of May 9. "We think that caretaker CM and IG Punjab are behind the May 9 drama.

He said that we wanted to hold a rally in Sindh, but Bilawal is not tolerating a rally.

“We want to convey our point of view to the people”.
