Reiterating that Kashmir was the most important issue for Pakistan, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesman Asim Iftikhar said on Monday that there existed a consensus between all political parties on the issue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a special interview with 24News, he said all parties were of the opinion that the people of the Indian occupied Kashmir should be given their right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations’ resolutions. “Regardless of the fact that which party is in power, it has always stood for the rights of the people of the held valley,” he added.
He went on to say that Pakistan had always given a befitting reply to India at all international forums on the issue. “In fact our stance has been vindicated during the last three years. This is certainly a victory for our foreign policy,” he claimed.
