The year 2022 will be recalled as a great ‘upset year’ for Pakistani politics and economy as the nation faced record-high inflation and democratic anarchy in history after the regime change.

According to the 24News HD TV channel reports, the impact of the worst inflation was seen on food grains this year as in one year, pulses became expensive by 15 to 20 percent and rice by 50 percent.

A huge price hike was also observed in all other food items and other commodities including petroleum products this year.

In the year 2022, General Syed Asim Munir who took over the command of the Pakistan Army was the most important turning point in the history of the country, focusing all his attention on the professional and organizational issues of the Army while keeping the Pakistan Army away from the country's politics.

In 2022, the Pakistan Air Force strengthened its air defense by adding the latest JF-17 Block 3 aircraft, including the Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets, to its air fleet in view of the changing requirements.

Pakistan Navy has also added new warships developed in cooperation with China and Turkey to its fleet during 2022 to further strengthen the defense of the maritime boundaries.

In Karachi this year, there has been a nine percent reduction in fire incidents. Two thousand and 81 fire incidents have been reported this year.
