The Patron-in-Chief of Istehkam Pakistan Party, Jahangir Khan Tareen, has expressed his deep concern over the current domestic and political situation in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
About the Peshawar High Court’s ruling on PTI’s ruling, he said the nation is worried about the unilateral and hasty decisions and accused the PTI of damaging the country's economy and reputation.
He said that those who have hollowed out the country's foundations and hurt the identity of Pakistan at the international level should not be given any concessions or leniency.
He questioned why those who had objected to the Lahore High Court in the past are now silent on the favourable decisions made by the Peshawar High Court. He said the decision of the Peshawar High Court is apparently overstepping the bounds and contrary to public aspirations.
He said that it is the authority of the Election Commission to give or withdraw election symbols to a political party, and that a disabled party like PTI cannot be resurrected with crutches of election symbols.
He vowed to continue his struggle for the rights of the people and the stability of Pakistan.
