Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered Lahore Education Board to make all facilities online for students within seven days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Chief Minister paid surprise visit to Lahore Education Board on Thursday where he found that most of the Facilitation Center staff were missing before the break.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi took strict notice of absence of staff during office hours and ordered to replace all staff immediately.
Talking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that with the facilities of the education board being online, the students will not have to visit the board office.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed the provincial education minister and education secretary to reach the board office immediately.
He further said that the issues of students should be resolved on priority basis.
During his visit, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi met the students in the education board and asked about the facilities.
The students complained about the absence of staff and said that the staff was not present even before the break.
Non-presence of staff at the counters during office hours is a dereliction of duty which is intolerable, said Mohsen Naqvi.
Students are present at the counters in connection with their work but the staff is absent, this is not acceptable in any case, the CM warned.
