Tech giant and X owner Elon Musk has expressed concerns over the deteriorating state of the US economy, warning that the country may face bankruptcy if corrective measures are not taken.
In a podcast interview, Musk highlighted the staggering rise in the national debt, which now stands at $36.17 trillion. He cautioned that if appropriate steps are not implemented, the US economy could face a dire crisis.
Musk noted that the government’s expenditure on interest payments is alarming. "The government paid 23% interest in 2024, amounting to $1.1265 trillion," Musk said.
He also revealed that the total revenue of the United States is currently $4.92 trillion, indicating a precarious balance between income and debt obligations.
Musk’s warning underscores the urgent need for financial reforms to prevent potential economic disasters in the near future. He revealed 73% of citizens will become the new poor.
