It appeared that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 is set to show more fireworks as Australian swashbuckling batsman Chris Lynn’s ‘steam’ has added to the heat with which the battles at the mega event are set to become more hotter.
As the tournament is picking up into its top gear with all the teams laying their focus on the prestigious trophy and the prize money, there have also been funny episodes attached to the games being played in different cities of Pakistan.
One of such instances happened during the match between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi when Chris Lynn’s head was spotted releasing steam. On Friday, Lahore Qalandars came face to face in a rain-hit match reducing the game to a 12-over per side affair.
Zalmi got off to a blistering start on the back of their openers’ power-hitting right from the start. Tom Banton and Kamran Akmal amassed 32 runs. Later, Haider Ali, the right-hander smacked 34 runs off 12 balls studded with four sixes and one boundary. On the other hand, Tom Banton also looked in full flow as he muscled 34 runs off 15 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes. The duo helped their side in posting a competitive total of 132 runs in the given 12 overs.
Chris Lynn, who is known for his brand of attacking cricket in several T20 leagues around the world, representing Lahore Qalandars, played a 15-ball 30-run innings against Peshawar Zalmi.
Chasing a target 133 in 12 overs, the opener lost his crucial wicket on the first ball of the 5th over. When an annoyed Lynn was walking off, the smoke seemed to rise from his head when he took his cap off.

Lahore Qalandars lost the game by a margin of 16 runs as they managed to score only 116 runs for a loss of six wickets in 12 overs.
