Pakistani singer Gohar Mumtaz has revealed the reason behind his former band member and the actor’s Farhan Saeed’s departure from the ‘Jal’ band.
In case readers are not aware, Jal Band was founded in 2002 with Atif Aslam, Goher Mumtaz, and Farhan Saeed as its members.
However, the band broke up after the members started solo careers, starting with Atif Aslam.
While revealing the reason for Farhan’s departure from the band, Gohar shared that Farhan's decision to leave the band stemmed from his desire to follow in the footsteps of Atif Aslam and pursue a career in Bollywood. He recounted advising the fellow that emulating Atif's trajectory was not feasible, emphasizing the uniqueness of each artist's journey.
The singer also expressed the emotional impact of losing a person to whom he had dedicated time and effort. According to Goher, despite Farhan's below-average voice, his investment in Farhan's career helped him rise to stardom.
In a candid conversation with the host, Gohar went on to say that he believed the 'Suno Chanda' star was not essential to the band since Gohar himself was a vocalist.
He mentioned that he had to put in a lot of effort to introduce Farhan to the audience. Initially, the ‘Mere Humsafa’ star sang older album songs and lacked confidence.
To boost his confidence, Goher composed a few songs specifically for him.
