Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government has released the record of Tosha Khana from 1997 to 2001 with the long list of the gifts and their beneficiaries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Pervez Musharraf, Rafiq Tarar, Chaudhry Nisar, Gohar Ayub, Ishaq Dar and Khawaja Asif, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Sheikh Rasheed, Tehmina Doultana, Abida Hussain and several bureaucrats are among the recipients of the gifts.
According to the document, as Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif received gifts worth Rs 17 lakh in 1998. Nawaz Sharif paid an amount of 259000 rupees and kept the gifts. Nawaz Sharif received gold diamond jewelry set. He kept a jewelry set and a watch with him. Nawaz Sharif also received 18 karat gold lady watch.
As the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif received 1315000 rupees gifts in 1998. According to the document, Shahbaz Sharif paid 2 lakh rupees and kept gifts. Shahbaz Sharif kept an 18 karat gold watch, a coffee set, gents and lady watches.
As Chief Executive, General Musharraf kept a TV set and a bowl free of cost. General Musharraf kept a watch, a dagger, a coffee pot after paying the money. An Iranian carpet and replica falcon gifted to General Musharraf were auctioned.
As President Rafiq Tarar and then Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar kept dozens of gifts free or after the payment. Ishaq Dar paid for obtaining the gift of two glasses. Ishaq Dar deposited the gift of pocket watch in Tosha Khana. Sheikh Rasheed kept a coffee set, two ties and a briefcase.
Chaudhry Nisar paid the money and kept the lady and gents watch. Khawaja Asif kept the watch with him and paid the amount. According to the document, Saifur Rehman kept the table clock and paid the amount. Earlier in March 2023, Tosha Khana record was released from 2002 to March 2, 2023.
