More than one hundred thousand Pakistani pilgrims have arrived in the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS).
This was stated by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Iraq, Ahmad Amjad Ali while talking to media on Friday.
He said that the Pakistan embassy in Iraq has established a special camp office in Karbala from 7 to 11 Muharram for the provision of all kinds of facilities to Pakistani pilgrims.
He said that there are doctors and medicines in the camp office, and a Sabeel has also been installed.
The Ambassador of Pakistan said that the passport and documents can also be verified from the camp office.
Karbala Camp Office has been set up on the special instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he added.
It is pertinent that local volunteers, as well as foreigners, set up rest areas, makeshift stalls, and clinics all along the roads to provide essentials such as food, water, and beds to facilitate pilgrims.
