PAF chief awarded Turkish Legion of Merit

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu called on Turkish Minister for National Defence Hulusi AKAR and Chief of Turkish General Staff General Yaşar Guler in Ankara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

PAF Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu was also awarded the Legion of Merit of Turkish Armed Forces in recognition of his services for promotion of collaboration and ties between the two air forces. Gen Hasan KÜÇÜKAKYÜZ, Cdr of Turkey Air Force, presented the medal.

Pakistani and Turkish top air force and defence officials discussed ways to promote Pak-Turk defence ties especially between the two air forces through experience sharing and relying on strengths of each side, according to the statement issued by Pakistan Air Force media wing. 

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu also called on Commodore Turkey Air Force General Hasan Küçükakyüz.

Both the leaders held discussion on enhancing collaboration and exchanged expertise between the air forces of Pakistan and Turkey.

The discussion also included exchange and training of pilots between PAF and Turkey Air Force.
