An Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) team on Wednesday arrested two smugglers who were trying to send ice drugs domestically and also foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs to Holland, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the first raid, the ANF team intercepted a car and recovered 1.480 kg of ice drug from the two accused riding the vehicle. The car was intercepted near the Karachi Company bus stop in Islamabad.
The ANF personnel arrested the accused and lodged FIR against both, identified as Fazl and Fida.
In the second raid, the ANF officers raided a courier office in Aabpara market in Islamabad where they seized a parcel contained unstitched cloth absorbed with drugs. The parcel was meant to be delivered to Holland.
The parcel was booked in the name of Rafique Khan.
An ANF spokesperson said that the courier parcel has been confiscated and further probe has been launched.
