Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel Wednesday announced to launch a campaign for administering coronavirus vaccine shots to 11-year-old children, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, Patel said that the health ministry has relaunched the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot campaign in view of the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
Patel expressed his fears of spreading coronavirus on the of Eidul Azha and during Muharram. He advised people to wear facemasks and ensure coronavirus SOPs.
The minister said that the health ministry has been monitoring the booster shot campaign. He shared that coronavirus cases were on the rise in Karachi, Mardan, and Peshawar.
The health minister said that the government has decided to raise the number of COVID-19 tests being carried out everyday.
He said that cattle markets are also given directions to ensure SOPs in the wake of the Eidul Azha.
