The 100 Index at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) could not maintain the barrier of 45, 000 as it dropped by 670 points on Monday as the investors became cautious due to toughening of the lockdown in the country, particularly in Punjab, on account of surge in the coronavirus cases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The 100 Index dropped by 1. 47 per cent at the market to reach 44, 853 points while 14. 71 million shares worth Rs6.91 billion were traded in the first half of the session.
