Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Rana Sanaullah Tuesday claimed that the opposition’s numbers for the no-confidence motion against the prime minister were complete even without the estranged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“With six days of the federal government left, the only option for Imran Khan is to resign,” he said while addressing the media, and adding that the opposition would award tickets to the estranged PTI parliamentarians in the following elections.
He maintained that the no-confidence motion was submitted to Punjab Assembly at the request of the Chaudhary Brothers, adding that Parvez Elahi could not become the chief minister of Punjab with the support of the PTI.
“We will bring our candidate against Parvez Elahi,” he stated.
“There were 161 votes when the no-confidence motion was tabled yesterday. Jam Abdul Karim has been granted bail, and he will come on the day of voting,” Rana Sana said.
“Aslam Bhootani will also vote in favour of the opposition. The four votes of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) are also with us. The number 172 is crossed when all these votes are put together,” he stated.
“We may not need estranged PTI parliamentarians,” Rana Sana said.
“Bazdar Group has also come to the fore in the PTI, and this group asks whether the global conspiracy was just for them,” Rana Sana pointed out.
“One vote can be obtained from the house of Shah Mehmood Qureshi if needed,” he claimed and stated that the opposition would also PML-Q votes.
“Pervez Khattak is leading the PTI’s negotiating committee despite being failed to stop his brother from joining the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI),” Rana Sana flayed.
The law minister said that PML-Q’s Moonis Elahi was present in the previous two meetings, adding that he was asked to become less rigid in desire for the Punjab Chief Minister slot.
“Political parties are taking their own decisions. There is no pressure on them,” Sana affirmed and added that Fawad Chaudhry’s brother had also assured the opposition of his vote.
“The majority of the PTI parliamentarians including those belonging to Aleem and Tareen groups will not vote for Pervez Elahi,” Rana Sana maintained and added that negotiations with MQM-P were underway.
“Pervez Khattak, Asad Umar, and Fawad Chaudhry should ask their brothers to support Imran Khan,” said Rana Sana.
