Unidentified armed assailants shot dead a head constable in Tank during a gun attack on main highway leading to South Waziristan on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to rescue officials, head constable Akbar Ali was on his way to duty from his home when unidentified armed men opened fire at him and escaped from the scene.
Police and rescue team reached the site and shifted the dead body to nearby hospital. The further investigation was underway.
