Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor on Saturday took on his daddy duties, teaching his son Zain Kapoor how to ride a bicycle.
A video posted by Shahid himself went viral, showing the doting father running alongside Zain while supporting him with a towel to prevent him from falling.
Sharing a wholesome moment on Instagram, Shahid humorously asked his followers, "Teaching your son how to cycle with a towel. Any better suggestions on how this can be easier?"
The adorable video caught the attention of many, including Shahid's younger brother Ishaan Khatter, who dropped a witty comment, saying, "Dial the chachu helpline."
Despite his packed work schedule, Shahid Kapoor is known for being a hands-on father to his two children, daughter Misha and son Zain. Speaking at the SCREEN Live event in Mumbai, the Kabir Singh star shared insights into his parenting dynamics, admitting that his children call the shots at home.
"My son tries to dominate me. I think that is usually the dynamic of boys. They are aggressive and loud—'Papa this, Papa that.' But quietly, my daughter has full control over me. Without saying anything, she gets the job done. Girls are far better at this," Shahid said with a laugh. "My daughter is my soft spot. She doesn’t even try that hard, but I’m always ready to do whatever she wants."
The actor also spoke about his parenting philosophy, emphasizing the importance of observing his children’s strengths and weaknesses while allowing them to grow into their own individuals. He believes in teaching them life's basics while giving them the freedom to explore their identities.
On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor’s latest film Deva is currently streaming on Netflix. Up next, he will be reuniting with acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj for Arjun Ustara, marking another promising collaboration in his career.
