Aimal Wali Khan, the central president of the Awami National Party (ANP), has announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, in alignment with Saudi Arabia.
In his statement, Aimal Wali Khan expressed, "Just as we observed Ramadan alongside the Muslim world, we will also celebrate Eid together. I urge all party members, workers, electables, and officials to observe Eid with simplicity."
He stressed the importance of avoiding large gatherings and crowds due to the current circumstances, urging people to prioritize their own safety and the safety of others.
Addressing his party members, he added, "Given the value of your lives, peace, and the prevailing situation, we will not gather at Wali Bagh this Eid."
Aimal Wali Khan reassured his supporters, saying, “Our hearts will remain united, and our resolve will always be strong.” He encouraged people to support the poor, needy, and destitute in their communities during the Eid celebrations.
He further stated, "We must share our resources with those in need, so they too can partake in the joys of Eid. We pray that this Eid brings peace, stability, and prosperity to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and all oppressed regions of the world."
Concluding his message, Aimal Wali Khan prayed for divine mercy, peace in the country, an end to oppression and injustice, and the strengthening of unity and brotherhood.
It is worth noting that the Shawwal moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, and Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on March 30, 2025.
