An earthquake shook different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa especially Mardan, Swat, Dir, Takht Bhai and Nowshera again on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, earlier on Sunday at 11 o'clock strong earthquake tremors were felt and now the quake is also felt in the evening again.
The channel report said that the earthquake shocks again in Mardan, Swat, Mingora and the surroundings which created panic among people who came out to their houses by reciting the Holy Verses of Quraan.
Strong tremors of the earthquake were felt in Takht Bhai and Nowshera and its surroundings in the evening too and people came out of their houses with fear.
According to the report, the earthquake originated at 5:57 pm, its magnitude was 4.7 and depth was 15 km while its latitude was 34.37 N and its longitude was 70.45 E and the epicentre of it was near Jalalabad in Afghanistan.
Anyhow, no damage was reported due to the earthquake till filing this report.
Earlier today, an earthquake of 6.3 magnitudes shook the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), creating panic in people who rushed out of their homes reciting Kalimae Tayyaba.
Besides Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the quake also jolted Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Mirpur and Neelum Valley in AJK, different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat and Abbottabad, and Faisalabad, Shakargarh, Chiniot in Punjab.
Pakistan Meteorological Department said the epicentre of the earthquake was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border while its depth was 223 kilometres.
