The National Curriculum Council (NCC) has once again taken a U-Turn and decided to reprint the books published under the Single National Curriculum (SNC) system for grade 1 to 5, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.
Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) had distributed the new books on uniform syllabus which were issued by the NCC in the ongoing year. But then the council once again decided to change the books. It asked the publishers for submission of drafts to rewrite the books.
The NCC will receive new books free of charge from private publishers, who will preserve all the rights of new books.
For primary classes, English, Urdu, Mathematics and General Knowledge books will be published again.
The NCC has extended the deadline of submitting the book drafts till December 6.
It is pertinent to mention that prior to this November 29 was the last date to submit the drafts.
