CM Murad fumes at delay in K-4 water project

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday presided over a high-level meeting to review expansion of K-4 project in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Sindh Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani and Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab.

During the meeting, the chief minister expressed his annoyance over unnecessary delay in completion of the project. He said that if the work is in progress at BRD Red Line then K-4 line should be laid down at the earliest. 

Murad Ali Shah said that after completion of K-4 Project pure and clean water will be available to residents of Karachi. He further directed to complete all necessary paper work in this regard.

He directed to lay 2.7 kilometers pipeline from Aziz Bhatti Park to Hassan Square. Murad Ali Shah said that a new filtration plant will be established under KWSSIP and also directed to complete lining of B-feeder.

Murad Ali Shah directed to issue tender for 132-KV grid station for K-4 project. The Chief Minister said that he is taking measures to obtain funds in this regard so all the necessary work should be completed.

Provincial Minister for Local Bodies Saeed Ghani and Chairman P&D Najam Shah briefed the chief minister about the projects in detail.

Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, Secretary Energy Musaddiq Malik, Secretary Local Bodies Khalid Hyder Shah and Secretary Finance Fayyaz Jatoi and other high officials were also present on the occasion.
