The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has lifted the ban on Pakistani airlines' flight operations, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Friday.
According to Defence Minister Kh Asif, EASA lifted the restrictions on Pakistani airlines, including the Pakistan International Airline (PIA).
The achievement was possible due to the full attention of the Ministry of Aviation, he added.
Khawaja Asif said that this achievement was possible due to ensuring safety steps per the International Civil Aviation Organization standards.
The European Union Air Safety Agency suspended PIA’s flights to European countries on June 30, 2020, after the issue of fake pilot licenses came to light in PIA. The ban was temporarily suspended and PIA was allowed to operate flights until July 3, 2020.
