Islamabad police alone spent more than Rs330 million to deal with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-INsaf (PTI) protest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to sources in police, the 3-day PTI protest cost the Islamabad police Rs332.8 million.
More than 800 containers were installed to seal from 24 to 30 different locations, sources said.
Sources said Islamabad Police spent Rs72.8 million on containers.
In the last 7 days till date, an expenditure of Rs72.8 million has been incurred, sources said.
The police had arranged for 35,000 tear gas shells and used shells worth Rs150 million in three days.
Similarly, an expenditure of Rs110 million was incurred on rubber bullets and 2,500 guns, sources said.
