The US dollar took another hit on Friday as it lost 66 paisas in value against the Pakistani rupee in the inter-bank trading, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

After the fresh setback, the US dollar was now being traded at Rs171.60.

After digesting Rs2.49 rise in its value on Wednesday, the Pakistani rupee had increased by 68 more paisas on Thursday.

The US dollar which has constantly been showing an upward trend for the past several days has come down crashing in the last few days following news of a loan package from Saudi Arabia.

It appears that the Pakistan currency has somewhat been resuscitated by the announcement made by Saudi Arabia regarding parking of $3 billion in the State Bank of Pakistan.
