Cabinet okays Rangers’ deployment to guard Arab royal hunters

The federal cabinet has approved the deployment of Rangers personnel to provide security to the Arab royalty on their upcoming hunting expedition in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Pakistan is preparing the hunting grounds for the President of the United Arab Emirates and Crown Prince of Dubai.

On the request of Punjab home department, the federal cabinet approved security during hunting expedition by the Arab dignitaries in five districts of Punjab.

UAE President Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dubai ruler Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum will visit Pakistan along with a special delegation to hunt houbara bustard during the hunting season.

The royal guests will hunt in Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.

The federal cabinet gave approval of the deployment of three companies of Rangers under Section 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
