Punjab Assistant Advocate General Ishtiaq Gohar was terminated from the position after the approval of Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi over fake educational degrees, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
Ishtiaq Gohar was appointed as the Assistant Advocate General of Punjab on September 15. He took charge on September 18.
The Advocate General Punjab Office wrote a letter to the Punjab Bar Council secretary for verification of Ishtiaq Gohar’s enrollment and educational credentials issued by the Punjab Bar on October 3.
Afterwards, the Punjab Law Secretary sent a summary of Ishtiaq Gohar’s removal from the post to the Punjab CM.
