A decrease of 28 percent recorded in profiting repatriation by foreign investors in first quarter of fiscal year 2024-25 as compared to same period of previous fiscal year, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Statistics issued by State Bank of Pakistan stated showed that 12.50 percent decrease in profit repatriation September as compared to previous month of August 2024.
State Bank of Pakistan stated that around $11.87 million were repatriated from Pakistan under the head of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), while $2.86 million were sent for providing consultancy for FDI.
State Bank of Pakistan report revealed that during first quarter of current fiscal year $49.34 were sent back.
According to the report during first quarter of fiscal year 2025, 85 percent increase recorded in profit repatriation as compared to same period previous fiscal year of 2024.
During first quarter of fiscal year 2024 foreign investors repatriated $212.9 million from Pakistan, State Bank of Pakistan report said.
