Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Sunday called on Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren to discuss matters of mutual interest and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, during the meeting, Naqvi congratulated the Chinese Consul General on the occasion of China's National Day, lauding President Xi Jinping’s leadership for guiding China to new heights of development.
The interior minister further remarked that China is Pakistan’s most trusted and sincere friend, playing a historic role in stabilising Pakistan’s economy.
Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that Pakistan takes pride in its unbreakable friendship with China and that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has elevated the ties between the two countries to unprecedented levels.
The Chinese Consul General expressed gratitude for the recent amendments made by the Ministry of Interior to assist Chinese businesses, acknowledging the strong friendship between the two nations.
The Chinese Consul General said, "Pakistan is our best friend, cooperation will continue."
Senior officials from the Chinese Consulate were also present during the meeting.
