US dollar tops Rs164 as it continues to pound rupee

The US dollar continued to soar in its value against the Pakistani rupee and as the greenback gained further 33 paisas in the early inter-bank trading on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the forex dealers in Karachi, the dollar has now reached its peak of October 2, 2020, which was Rs164.
A forex expert of Karachi said that the greenback had gained Rs6.46 in inter-bank trading since July 1, 2021.
On July 1, 2021, the dollar hit the Rs157.54 mark and now it has soared to Rs164, the expert added.
