The impact of disease increases manifolds when there is helplessness and poverty. Such a situation often draws victims to suicide.
Mahin Gopang, 11, and her parents, residents of Sanjar Gohang, a suburban area of Kandiaro, are also going through a similar ordeal. Mahin has been diagnosed as having suffered from brain cancer. For years, the innocent child awaits a messiah that might deliver her from the fatal brain cancer. Lying in bed, the minor is inching towards death with each passing moment.
Her parents have sold all household items to meet Mahin’s treatment expenses over the past seven years, but for no avail.
Despite undergoing surgery twice, there has been no improvement in her condition.
According to her father, now the hospital administration has discharged Mahin and has demanded another Rs1.5 million for her treatment.
It is a sad reality that poverty gives the people the toughest time. The girl’s parents are destitute and helpless as they await a messiah who could infuse life in her daughter, through financial help.
Now, her parents are looking towards the government or those generous people whose philanthropy could lead to Mahin’s treatment.
