PSL 7: Lahore Qalandars defeat Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs

Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs in the ninth match of the Pakistan Super League’s seventh season (PSL 7) 2022 on Wednesday.

Lahore Qalandars has given a tough target of 200/4 runs. Chasing the target, Peshawar Zalmi just scored 170/9 runs.

Peshawar Zalmi’s Haider Ali made 49 and Kamran Akmal 41 runs.Lahore Qalandars’ bowler Zaman Khan took three wickets while Shahid Afridi and david Weise got two wickets each.

Earlier, the Lahore Qalandars played a highly aggressive but a responsible game from the start of their innings and its only 4 batsmen were returned to the pavilion.

Qalandars’ opening batsmen Fakhar Zaman made 66 runs, Abdullah Shafique 41 runs, Hafeez made 37 runs and Kamran Ghulam 30 runs.

Zalmi’s bowler Salman Irshad succeeded to take 2 wickets. Hussain Talat and Usman Qadir took one wicket each.

Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz won the toss and have elected to field first against Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League Seven Addition 2022 (PSL 7) at Karachi Stadium.

Lahore Qalandars has already played two T20 matches and won one of it with two points. Its NRR is 0.106 that is better to rival team Peshawar Zalmi in the today match.

Peshawar Zalmi has also played two T20 matches in the current series and won one of it with two points. Its NRR is -1.052 that is lower to Lahore Qalandars.

Shaheen Shah Afridi is leading the Lahore Qalandars against Peshawar Zalmi that is being led by Wahab Riaz as captain.

Interestingly, MULTAN Sultan has won all four matches and got 8 points while Karachi King has played three matches and remained failed to make a single point.
