The Islamabad District and Sessions Court has acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and all other defendants in a case related to a protest against the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood announced the reserved verdict on Wednesday.

In the decision, the court acquitted former premier Imran Khan and PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shehryar Afridi, Faisal Javed, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Ali Nawaz Awan, Asad Qaiser, and others of all charges in the case registered at the Aabpara police station.

As per the channel report, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad of the Awami Muslim League (AML) is also included among the acquitted defendants in the case.

Advocates Sardar Masroof and Ansar Kayani presented arguments on behalf of Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed, and other defendants. 

The case stemmed from a protest against the ECP's decision, leading to the registration of the case against the PTI leaders at Abpara Police Station in Islamabad.
