Press Club president among three killed in Khuzdar bomb blast

Khuzdar Press Club President and JUI Balochistan Vice-President Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal and two other people were martyred while nine injured in a bomb blast in the city on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel;

The bomb blast targeted the vehicle of Siddiq Mengal in Chamrook area of Khuzdar.

The injured were rushed to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The security forces personnel have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to hunt down the culprits.. 
The exact cause and nature of the explosion was yet to be determined, as investigation was underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

The police said a CCTV footage shows that a man riding a motorcycle attached a bomb to the Siddique Mengal’s car and detonated after speeding away.

Bilawal condemns terrorist blast

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the terrorist bomb blast in Khuzdar. He expressed his grief over the martyrdom of Khuzdar Press Club President Muhammad Siddique Mengal. He expressed heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and the journalist community.

JUI Punjab grieved 

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Punjab condemned and showed grief over the martyrdom of Maulana Siddiq Mangal, the Vice-Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) in Balochistan, who fell victim to a fatal attack in Khuzdar.

Maulana Syed Mahmood Mian, the Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) in Punjab, described Maulana Siddique Mengal as a gentle soul devoid of enmity towards anyone.

"Every worker of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is saddened by the martyrdom of Maulana Siddique Mengal," added the Provincial Amir of JUI.

Hafiz Naseer Ahmad Ahrar, Secretary General of JUI, lamented the loss of an ideological stalwart and intellectual leader, emphasizing the magnitude of the loss to the party and the community.

The attack has also drawn criticism towards the provincial government, with the Secretary General of JUI Punjab, highlighting the apparent lapse in security measures. "The bomb blast has exposed the efficiency of the provincial government," he remarked.

JUI Punjab spokesperson Hafiz Ghazanfar Aziz called upon authorities to swiftly apprehend the culprits and ensure justice for the victims and their families.

In a prayer for the departed, the spokesperson of JUI Punjab invoked divine mercy, stating, "May Allah Almighty forgive Maulana Siddique Mengal Shaheed and grant the rest of the injured a speedy and continuous recovery."
