Sindh government Saturday announced an amnesty for convicted prisoners in different jails of the province on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Sindh government has pardoned the prisoners for six months (180 days).
The amnesty will not apply to prisoners involved in the death penalty, kidnapping for ransom, murder, anti-state campaigns and terrorism.
The amnesty will benefit 1202 inmates in jails across the province.
