The Lahore High Court and subordinate courts across the province will remain closed on May 1 to observe the International Labour Day, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Monday.

This decision comes as part of the holiday gazette notification issued by the Lahore High Court, which includes May 1 as a designated holiday.

The announcement of the court closure for May 1 was made in alignment with the significance of International Labor Day, a day dedicated to honouring the contributions of workers worldwide.

The decision was also communicated to lawyers by the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA).

To further inform stakeholders, including lawyers and litigants, the LHCBA displayed a notice regarding the holiday on the notice board.

With courts closed on May 1, legal proceedings and hearings scheduled for that day will be adjourned.
