Shruti Haasan and Santanu Hazarika's separation was a real bombshell for their fans, leaving them completely stunned and taken aback by the unexpected news.
The Saalar actress parted ways with her long-time beau last month, i.e. March 2024.
Since then, there have been many speculations from fans about the reason for their sudden decision.
While neither Shruti nor Santanu have confirmed the same, there are reports from a media website that the couple called it quits due to commitment issues.
An insider reveals:
“Shruti and Santanu initially felt they were compatible but slowly things changed after the actress was willing to take the relationship one step ahead, There was a lack of interest from Sanatanu's side to commit. Shruti was the one who expected a commitment like marriage, but she didn't get the mutual feeling. They both realized they wanted different commitments in their relationship and hence partying would make more sense than dragging the relationship ahead”.
While the two haven't reacted to the news, fans have been discussing it on social media. They were reportedly in a live-in relationship for four years before they decided to part ways.
The former couple has also unfollowed each other from their Instagram handles.
It is pertinent to mention here that the actress, before falling in love with Santanu Hazarika reportedly dated actors like Siddharth, Naga Chaitanya, Dhanush and even cricketer Suresh Raina.
