There was no let-up in loadshedding for the masses despite a clear short in demand, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

According to details, LESCO is still facing a major shortfall of 600MWs in the supply of electricity.

The change in the weather and the hiked electricity bills resulted in decrease in short in the demand for electricity.

Even after a massive decrease in the demand, the National Power Control Centre could not fulfill the power needs of Lahore.

LESCO required 4670 MWs and the power control center delivered 4070 MWs only. A deficit of 600 MWs resulted in load shedding in the whole city for at least two to three hours.

Due to this major shortfall, it was scheduled to execute Load Shedding for two hours in Lahore and for three hours in the surroundings and the High Line Losses areas.
