The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) organized hockey trials with the collaboration of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in three cities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The selection committee reached Lahore after completing the trails procedure. The trials were conducted in Rawalpindi as part of Phase III.
A large number of Hockey players participated in the Shehnaz Sheikh Hockey Stadium for trials. Players from age 15 to 25 were eligible to participate in trials organized by UET.
Vice Chancellor of UET Professor Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar and Director Sports Muhammad Tanveer were included in the selection committee. Moreover, Lahore College for Women and University’s (LCWU) Professor Dr. Bushra Mirza and Sameera Sattar were also members of the selection committee. Trails have been finalized in Gojra, Ghakhar, and Rawalpindi as of now. In the next phase, trials will be held in Bahawalpur and then in Lahore. The selected players will be trained in Lahore.
