While responding to the suspension of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s sentence in the Toshakhana case, former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif said Tuesday that the sentence of ‘Ladla’ (blue-eyed) had been suspended not terminated, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement on social media platform X, the former prime minister said that the chief justice’s messages of “Good to see you” and “Wishing you good luck” had reached the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

“If everyone knows what the decision will be before the decision comes, it should be a matter of concern for the justice system,” he said.

“When a clear message is received from the higher court, what else should the subordinate court do then?” he pointed out.

“A monitoring judge was appointed to ensure the punishment of Nawaz Sharif. The chief justice himself became a monitoring judge to save ‘Ladla’,” he deplored.

“This role of the justice system will be written in the dark chapter of history. A justice system, based on unbalanced scales, that undermines justice is not acceptable,” he declared.

“The law is powerless before a person who sold out the [Toshakhana] watch. When a thief and state terrorist is facilitated, where will the common man get justice from in the country?” he questioned.

“Be it May 9, be it an attack on the judicial complex, be it throwing petrol bombs on the police, he is forgiven in every case,” he censured.
