Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reiterated her resolve to bring in education reforms.
According to a handout, the chief minister launched the Back to School campaign and enrollment scheme at the Government Kinnaird Girls High School, Empress Road and inaugurated the Smart Classroom Project.
She presented school bags and gifts to the girls and took a tour of various sections.
The chief minister mingled with them and had informal conversation with them, surprising them on their return to school from vacation.
Speaking on the occasion, she shed light on the importance of education and said she wanted an educated Punjab.
She listed her government’s feats and her wish to make every child of the province extraordinary and the best.
She underscored the importance of innovative public-private partnerships in educational progress. The Chief Minister appreciated the smart classroom and wrote the message of ‘I love you all’ on the digital board of the smart classroom and prayed for success.
“The launch of this AI-powered Smart Classroom pilot project is a step to revolutionize education,” she added.
Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat briefed the CM about the drives. cameras have been installed in the classroom with the support of Huawei to record lectures.
Students will also be able to seek help from the recorded lectures. This initiative is a significant step forward in Punjab's roadmap to flourish the IT industry and establish the province as a hub for technological innovation, the CM was told.
