FJMU and LCCI join hands for education uplift and research activities

A delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), led by President Kashif Anwar, visited Fatima Jinnah Medical University, a press release said on Thursday.


The chamber and the university signed an MoU, the press release said, adding that FJMU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal and the faculty welcomed the visiting dignitaries, including Ms Fariha Younus, Shahid Khalil, Furqan Munir and Muhammad Ali.


Speaking on the occasion, the FJMU vice-chancellor said cooperation is the cornerstone of the institution and nation-building. He added that along with signing documents, it is also necessary to abide by the agreements.


He said the agreements will be implemented time-bound to see its impact on the community. He expressed the hope that this agreement between the two institutions will help improve the quality of education. According to the agreement, the two institutions will encourage direct contact and collaboration between faculty members and students.


During the ceremony, the officers from both institutions discussed various initiatives the MoU would support, including joint research projects, internships, capacity-building initiatives, and community health programmes. The partnership is expected to facilitate knowledge exchange and provide practical opportunities for students, entrepreneurs, and professionals alike.



This strategic alliance aims to bridge the gap between the healthcare sector and the business community. Both collaborators shared a vision to promote innovation, and entrepreneurship, support professional development, and discuss opportunities to face challenges together.


The agreement was signed by Registrar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nadeem on behalf of the university and President Kashif Anwar on behalf of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


The event concluded with a shared vision of the development and importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in achieving broader social goals.


The Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal presented a souvenir and university history book to the LCCI president.
