As Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been facing a severe financial crunch and losses of around one billion rupees, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja has decided to terminate 22 officers drawing hefty salaries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday, quoting its sources.

The sources claimed that the PCB Chairman will decide the fate of the 22 officers on January 20 or 21 meeting with PCB Patron. However, Ramiz Raja has been given a green signal in this regard from higher-ups.

In a massive ‘operation’ asquint officers, Ramiz Raja will meet PCB Patron and PCB Standing Committee to decide the fate of the 22 officers.

The sources said that officers have started lobbying to save their jobs from possible termination.

Earlier in a press conference, Ramiz Raja refuted rumors about slashing down the hefty salaries.

As per reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also suffered financial losses of millions as a result of New Zealand’s abruptly calling off their tour just before the first of three One-day Internationals was to begin in Rawalpindi.
