Again claiming that she and her family were being pressured to withdraw the murder case filed against Member of the Sindh Assembly (MPA) Jam Owais and five others, widow of Nazim Jokhio on Thursday vowed not to strike a deal with the killers of her husband, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media outside a court in Malir which is seized with the hearing of her husband’s murder case, widow of Nazim Jokhio said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had promised that justice would be done to her.

“I am not afraid of anybody. I am 100 per cent confident that not only my stance will stand vindicated in this court, but at all fora,” she said resolutely.

Earlier, during the hearing, the court admonished the investigation officer (IO) for failing to present the final challan of the case, and ordered the production of all the six suspects on the next date of hearing on January 10, 2022.

MPA Jam Owais and his men had allegedly tortured to death 30-year-old Nazim Jokhio in Memon Goth when he forbade some foreigners from hunting houbara bustards and made a video of their illegal hunting.

Initially, he told the foreigners that it was illegal to hunt the bird. But when they continued with their hunting, Nazim made a video of it and later uploaded it on social media, making the foreign hunters and their influential local hosts furious.

Only a few days after the incident, Nazim was abducted and his tortured body was found in a farmhouse of MPA Jam Owais Gohram Jokhio in Murad Goth, Malir. There were marks of bruises and abrasions all over his body.  Reporter Mumtaz Jamali
