Renowned Urdu commentator of cricket Muhammad Idris passed away in Faisalabad. He was 87 years old, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Deceased's funeral prayer will be offered on the arrival of his son and daughter from Canada on December 30 (Saturday-today) at al-Bashir Mosque in Sitara Sapna City of Faisalabad after Asr prayers.
Commentator Muhammad Idris had made a home in the hearts of listeners with his interesting style and unconventional cricket commentary.
With his death, the golden era of Urdu cricket commentary in Pakistan also came to an end.
