The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have foiled a bid of terrorist to smuggle a huge cache of ammunition in Dera Ismail Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Saturday.
The timely action of the police has averted a major plan of terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to details, the police recovered a huge cache of ammunition and two kilograms of explosive material during an operation from a truck supposed to be loaded with onions.
According to police, they recovered 34 sacks of ammunition from a truck coming from Wana that was laden with the onions.
The police recovered 48,600 bullets, one light machine gun and an M4 American gun from these 34 sacks that had been hidden under the sacks of the onions.
The recovered ammunition also included six packets carrying two kilograms of explosive material. The successful operation was led by District Police Officer Shahbaz Ali.
