ANP candidate escapes bullets in Shangla attack

A candidate of Awami National Party (ANP) came under firing attack in Shangla on Monday night in which his driver was injured, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Police said unknown assailants opened fire at Aurangzeb Khan, ANP candidate for National Assembly constituency NA-11.
Aurangzeb Khan remained safe but his driver got injured.
The attack followed a gunbattle between the attackers and the guards of the ANP candidate which continued for a long time.
Police cordoned off the area and started a search operation to hunt down the attackers.
