Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has issued a stern warning, asserting that any individual found engaging in horse-trading after securing victory on the PTI ticket will face political suicide, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
During an informal discussion with journalists within the confines of Adiala jail's courtroom on Monday, Qureshi unveiled critical details from his encounter with former Chief of Army Staff, General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Qureshi recounted a significant prelude to the cipher issue, highlighting a meeting with Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa orchestrated by PTI founder Imran Khan.
The meeting, attended by PTI leaders Asad Umar, Pervaiz Khattak, and Qureshi, took place at the Army Chief's residence, where the committee briefed Gen Bajwa on the cipher matter.
Following the departure of Umar and Khattak, Qureshi found himself detained by Gen Bajwa, who allegedly issued a severe admonition regarding moral alignment, warning of a potential 12-year incarceration.
Recalling the date of the encounter as August 22, Qureshi revealed that Gen Bajwa had similarly urged Imran Khan to reassess his stance, punctuating the discourse with a poignant statement: "Become a human being, otherwise you will be punished."
In a bold retort, Qureshi challenged the former Army Chief, expressing readiness to swear on the Holy Quran before a judge of the court.
Moreover, Qureshi shed light on the significance of overseas Pakistanis and emphasized their esteemed position in the eyes of the nation. He also claimed that Israel is backing by American Jews.
